Michelle,

>>, what does brocade do anyway?<<

Just noticed Brocade for the first time. It was in the NAZ top ten today. Got this from Yahoo!

>>Brocade Communications Systems is a supplier of open Fibre Channel Fabric solutions that provide the intelligent backbone for Storage Area Networks. For the six months ended 4/30/99, total revenues rose 30% to $18.5 million. Net loss fell 31% to $2.7 million. Revenues benefitted from greater unit sales of products to an increased customer base. Net loss reflects greater margins due to lower component and manufacturing costs and lower R&D costs.<<

What a Moonshot! A little aprehensive about jumping aboard anything that has made a move like that. But thats what I said about YHOO in Nov.98 so I went short. Snivel, snivel, snivel............

Michelle i like Brcd but they announced that its underwriters have agreed to unlock 2.3 mln shares more
than 3 months ahead of the normal 180 day lock-up period. Because shares
will not be unleashed until Wednesday, the news might be temporarily
overlooked.

This stock trades 146,000 shares on a normal day. It could go to this volume
within 2-3 trading days. Think what 2,300,000 shares for sale might do to it's price? The float is approx. 3.3 mil. It'll be interesting to see how this will hold up.
