To everyone wondering about the new Jabil plant in Tewksbury, MA. Please read my post from several weeks back. To all, Drove by Jabil's latest manufacturing site that is being renovated in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. I only live about 5 miles away. This is not a brand new building, but a building that appears to be in the process of being gutted, rebuilt, and equipped to Jabil's standards. This building was once the home of Raytheon Corporation. It looks to be about 200,000 - 250,000 square feet in total size. There have been all kinds of help wanted ads in the local papers for positions ranging from planner/buyers to component engineers. Jabil's web site now list Tewksbury, MA as an official manufacturing site, even though it's not in operation yet. Late fall is when Jabil plans to open for business. I'm actually thinking about applying for a job there. I'm a Component Engineer for another local contracting manufacturing company that actually does some work for Jabil, small work that Jabil doesn't want to do. I'll keep everyone informed as to the status of the renovations and any articles that may appear in local papers I'll try and post. Patroller, where did you here or see that this building was opening in a couple of weeks? I'll have to drive by again and see what is going on. Still lots of help-wanted ads in the Boston Globe for this building. I'm still going to apply for a job there. Jeff
