Volume figures on the Nasdaq include both the buyside and sellside..so 50% of the total volume is correct.Personally who cares about volume overall..

Mondaythey will be waiting for Tuesday's CPI numbers and Dell's earnings. If the CPI is high and Dell is low, RUN FOR COVER; if the reverse, LOAD UP THE METRO.

CR, I don't think you will see any substantial volume again until after Labor Day. These are the tail end days of "dog days of summer" and there are still way to many traders away! Happens every year at this time.
