The Official Company Line From Greek mythology: Abrizio is the God of superior speed and performance. Not. The Real Story Ten years ago, our CEO was on vacation in the Tuscany region of Italy and found a mountain chain called Abruzzi. Liking the region - and the name - he filed the name in the back of his head as something to be used as a company name. Now our CEO is no spelling wizard, so when it came time to incorporate the new company he proposed the name "Abrizio". Although not totally convinced about the name's merit, his co-founder (our CTO) agreed to go along, being swayed by the romance of the Italian connection. The lawyers, although knowing no romance, liked the name too after a search found that no-one already laid claims to the name. A clean name search, what a novelty. So "Abrizio Inc." it was. Some time later, our CEO thought it would be interesting to find Abrizio on the map. No Abrizio. But fortunately, abrizio.com and 1-877-ABRIZIO were both available.
