Commtouch has a mail service called pronto and I would think the plan is for gnet to use that in some way...I was checking it out a bit...actually was setting up an email account with them and was having some trouble with passwords so gave up...I think regarding the notifying friends issue about change this email service has a forwarding feature prontomail.com

even more info can forward mail from old to new address automatically...here is the comment on pronto under preferences in the setup addresses Click on "Preferences"/other mail to enter your other account details. Then click the Other Mail button on the Inbox toolbar to download the actual messages.
