I am not a insider, I do not know the trial outcome. I have said before and I will repeat again. There are many reasons
why bpi "should" work in meningococcmia.
>>>>>>>>>Anti-endotoxin reason (From Dr Heyderman)
"It is widely accepted that much of the disease process that follows meningococcal invasion results from the release of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) which triggers inflammatory cell activation and the elaboration of a wide range of inflammatory mediators. W

>>>>>>>>>Antibacterial Reasons (some)Dr Schlag
"We conclude that in baboon live E. coli sepsis the protective role of BPI21 is more due to bactericidal than anti-endotoxin action. "

"Two groups of researchers, who report their findings in the medical journal The Lancet, have discovered that severe forms of the disease are caused by an over-production of a specific enzyme involved in the clotting of the blood.
(EVER hear of TPA, what does TPA do, WHAT DOES TPA AND BPI DO?)

To be sure, we will find out soon if bpi21 works against meningococcmia. It may be any or all or none of reasons above.
It might not work at all. IMO the reasons are numerous that it should. Science is on our side. As it stands now the die is
cast. I have made my individual decision to compare risk vs reward. based on science. Lets hope for the best
All IMO , all disclaimers always apply. Consider nothing as fact.

GEORGE! Here I am ring side thinking that Bob is in a daze with his unbooted computer. Next thing I know he appears out of nowhere as Bob the Standard K wearing his cape with BPI printed on the back and presents us with a body slam post!
