So learned thread members, answer me this. Why did Robin Abrams leave 3Com as the Palm Pilot division president to become the Chemdex CEO? By inference, one would assume Chemdex and the business-to-business e-commerce model has a much brighter future than the Palm Pilot...

I thing that CMDX biggest competitors are Sigma-Aldrich and Fisher. And they are "e-comerce companies".
I think that 80% of my supplies are from this 2 giants.
The rest are from in house freezer program. I just can not see the place for CMDX. Situation can be different for smaller biotech companies
