Hey chalu2, chill baby. It wasn't the adultery, it was the PERJURY, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE AND ABUSE OF OFFICE for which Bubba's sorry ass should have been removed. There's plenty of hypocrisy to go around in both parties. It certainly doesn't excuse the behaviors on either side nor does the fact that the accuser is not perfect diminish what Bubba did to his office and this country. Livingston resigned as you may recall. Hyde's alleged transgression is over thirty years old. Burton made his peace with his wife and supported the child he fathered out of wedlock. Has any of them lied under oath, obstructed justice or abused his office with regard to this egregious conduct? I think not. These men are not perfect and these acts are wrong. Nevertheless, there is a difference between what they did and what Bubba did in degree. As for Newt, I suspect he will tell the truth if for no other reason than to avoid putting himself in the same mess Bubba fell into. Its unlikely that a messy divorce will upset his lucrative speaking/teaching activities. He has nothing to lose by telling the truth. JLA

Hey Chalu, the difference between Gingrich, Livingston, Chenoweth, et al is they had mature and discreet adult relationships. Bubba took advantage of an emotionally troubled girl/woman. The most powerful man in the country was boinking the babysitter.

By the way, I don't think Gingrich ever pounded the podium for the Moral Majority. He is a disciple of Alvin and Heidi Toffler. Interesting futurists, but they are not conservative.

chalu2,
Well, perhaps Slick can go into the publishing business after he leaves office. A new magazine with his buddy Larry Flynt would be suitable for his "experience". Suggested title: Slick's Licks

Btw, the Republican group has not been accused of rape by anyone, nor did they perjure themselves. Your comments are hypocritical in light of your Boy's exploits. The Republican group resigned. What can you say about your boy's sense of shame?
