OK...followed instructions and this is what occurred....

after I got to the "C" prompt I entered:

DIR/AH/S APPLOG

(is that the correct format?)

the response was:

Volume in drive c has no label
Volume Serial number is 204D-19F6
file not found
1,502,081,024 bytes free

I have found a file Windows\Recent would this correspond to APPLOG?....it seems to have things that I have done recently (or it did until I deleted the contents)

I've noticed and I'm awed to be in the company of
people who actually dare to play with the registry.
We should have a warning label for those posts.
