The textbooks that were posted were for special classes and special schools. I asked for examples from your average public high school Biology class. They are the exceptions that prove the rule. I too went to a Catholic school for ten years, and ironically I was taught about some evolution, but we were asked to get "Origin of the Species" on our own to do a report. It was not available in the Catholic library. We had to search for it on our own. Of course, there is always more to be learned about evolution, just as there is more to learn about atomic theory and electronic theory. Nobody doubts that atomic bombs work, or that electronic devices work, even though they are not fully understood theories. That doesn't make theories just guesses as the cretins are trying to make evolution look. There is a strong preponderance of evidence supporting evolution and almost nothing but the desire to believe supporting creation. They should in no way be seen as equally valid. One of the most convincing evidences of evolution is that the deeper that one looks in stratified layers that are exposed to us, such as the Grand Canyon, the simpler the life forms are. At the very bottom more complex fossils from the top layers are never seen. That is just one indisputable fact that the cretins would not allow our children to even read about. There are many others. I see in the paper that there are a lot of teachers in Kansas that are going to ignore the board of education ruling, and teach the truth, not mythology. I hope to see another Scopes trial that the whole nation watches. The cretins might then be silenced for another 50 years. Del
