I have to quarrel with your assessment that Ford was the best straightman- I do not think so. It might have been Hoover- but there were others that would also be contenders. You merely accept the media's portrayal of Ford as a straightman- which I think is a very trite opinion. Also, Nixon- NOT the stupidest by a long shot. You have over-weighted modern Presidents because you don't know much about our other presidents- which is fine, but it reduces the value of your opinion.
