Well Christine, I can't speak for every creature, but I had the definite feeling the whales in the area were glad I wasn't a Makha Indian about to spear and then shoot them with a 50 caliber rifle. Banning personal freedom also has it's negative and positive effects on the world. In the grand scheme of things, scooting around in a personal watercraft is about as destructive to the environment as 10 seconds of speed-boat racing in the San Francisco Harbor. I suppose we could ban them all, ban all forms of recreation boating, sailing, etc. That may seem like a wonderful benign world to some. But to me it smells like Eco-terrorism in the extreme.
