MSB,

I spent 15 years as a software developer. I've looked into y2k and I think it will be anything <<<but>>> a yawn!

Just my HO, of course...

Yep, but there will be problems. Minor ones and maybe big ones. But this Kid is not going out to buy a new generator, pull my money out of the bank etc.. I am not worried at all about Y too Kay and any effects on me.

If you read the papers, all you will see is DOOM and GLOOM. That's what the media does best.

Good / positive news doesn't sell.

I use to be a Y too Kay alarmist, or I use to believe all the hype, but that changed about a year and a half ago. I checked all these things that Y2K experts told me would or could fail in the Year 2000, and I found that all the stuff I checked WORKED when dates were advanced to 2000 and beyond. Items I check, phone systems, fax machines, electronic thermostat, microwave, VCR, etc..etc.... I found that items still worked.

Note some of these items could not be advanced to the Year 2000 as there is no year or date function. So I found info on tests that were done on those items.

It's too much to post it one post, there are hundreds of my posts on that thread and the Y2K Hoax thread:

Now..... I'm a major Y too Kay skeptic!
