American women within the last 50 years are aberrations. With some exceptions, the accelerated metamorphosis began about the time of "Rosie the Riveter". Once again much of the blame can be placed with two institutions: christianity and the federalists.

Most of the women in the world are not "career women" and most are desperate to get married to have a husband support them. Overall, James is correct (if one takes a world-view).
