Pat, Thanks for sharing the results of your search. Only in a crisis do we find out who we really are. It's not the hand we're dealt, but what we do with it. Andy Grove came through the Pentium debaucle a better manager and better man. With Bernie Ebbers, only time will tell. Re Bernie: Even though he's a Canadian and therefore,obviously must be gifted[VBG], he has so far shown an enormous skill for growing a company through acquisition. I'm not sure that his brilliance carries through to the operational issues. Clearly MCI Worldcom's behaviour during the past couple weeks is not indicative of a CEO who will be remembered as one of the all time greats. FWIW, Ian.
