Hi Marcos, I keep this one on my screen in my tracking portfolio, presently out of it, waiting for some major news event or such, this one fooled me, a year and a half ago I felt they would be one of the only producers in sub Sahara Africa because of their EO connections and it seems that has worked against them, goes to show you that it takes much more than just brute force to be a lasting entity. They are on my screen. Winspear finally doing better and some lovely rumors around about "Fund" buying and the such......I remain very long on the Wsp, intend to move half if it can get back to $4.50 or so....what do you know about ACS.V Archon, Aber jv on an adjoining piece of property to the Ekati...???? Yes, Will P is a very good writer and it's nice to see the coverage. Rex also on my tracking screen, in at .80 or so, out at $1.20 and didn't see the increase coming, didn't take advantage of the trend either. maybe next time.......early on a Sunday morning, big shoot on over at the club today, trap doubles, some skeet, have to awaken the chauffeur, must get ready...... have a good one.

"The question of financing remains, however. Although some of the capital expenditures necessary to reach these production levels will come from the existing operations, to fully develop the properties, Mr. Walsham said the company would have to raise additional capital. With DiamondWorks stock trading in a narrow range below 20 cents, current shareholders can only hope that massive private placements will not be the order of the day."

Right on, WillP. This is crucial. It would be a nicely positive note if dmw could obtain debt financing for development of Camatchia, and Koidu when that comes ... and failing that, or waiting for that, to just let the kitty build up with current cash flow, develop one step at a time with the funds in hand .... and NOT print more cheap paper ... there has to be a limit somewhere. I would think it is now and here, as survival is no longer in doubt at this point.

What would be really nice - is if our RSA friends would exercise some of those cheap warrants ... or better - all of them, tomorrow -g-

Subject: Question

I received an email question, asking what the value of
the DiamondWorks properties would be, if they were in
Canada.

It's a pretty easy calculation. DMW is in the first stages
of production, with the main properties a year or three
away. So...it's between Ekati and Diavik on the
production scale:

Well, if we assume that Diavik is worth $1.8-billion
Canadian, based on Aber's share price, with $7.2-billion
US in the ground; and assume that Ekati is worth
$2.4-billion Canadaian, based on $6.0-billion US in the
ground.... DiamondWorks, being somewhere in between
the two has a 50% interest in a series of projects worth
$3.0-billion US, so those projects would have a value of
$1.5-billion US to DiamondWorks, and should support a
current market cap. of $500-million. What's that? About
$2.50 per share. It's a heavy penalty to pay for civil
unrest.

Of course, I think the price depression is also due to the
financing fears, as well.

WillP

Subject: Another Point

The recent private placements and deals has resulted in
a few interesting transactions:

a) The large share purchase by Ekuseni, and subsequent
acquisition of Ekuseni by New Mining, would appear to
be a bit of a vote of confidence in DiamondWorks.
Given the voting arrangement, the typical comment
"acquired for investment purposes" would appear to ring
truer than usual.

b) The participation of Elliot and of Westgate is another
"investment deal", apparently.

c) Buried deep in a previous news release was the fact
that Invesco was picking up 435,000 shares and a like
number of warrants. Invesco was the outfit that dealt
some of the Venezuelan gold properties to Carson...the
fact they are still participating in DiamondWorks would
appear interesting, and perhaps, quite positive.

Right now, speculative interest in DiamondWorks,
among individual small investors, appears to be at a low.

WillP
