Hi Jay,...I've only been in Softbank since April of this year. I got in at $143 and felt stupid when Softbank went to around $110. I didn't buy more until $132 on the way up. I've even bought more at $263 which is well above the recent low and still above the current price. I think the Internet Stocks peaked in April and are close to 50% down from there. It is interesting that Softbank has nearly doubled while the rest of the Internet Sector has fallen to half since April. This is what makes it difficult to gauge when to exit and enter Softbank so I now only take a long view. For the Internet as a whole, there could still be more downside.

I am most intrigued by the recent fast move by Softbank, Microsoft and Tepco to initiate the Wireless Internet Project. Their target of several million subscribers in three years would result in revenues of $1.5 Billion if we figure on $40/month and three million subscribers. I believe that each of the three participants has a 31% stake in the venture. I assume that most of the actual infrastructure has to be installed by Tepco and I'd guess that this has been under analysis and development at Tepco for some time now. They are talking about Trial Service on October 1st. That is a stunning fast response for a deal that was just put together last week. In the Internet realm, speed and size are the name of the game and this Project looks like a winner. I'd also guess that this was Tepco's Baby and they just wanted very credible partners. Softbank and Microsoft appear to be no brainers as top choices if they are available as partners. BTW, does anyone know the frequency of the wireless portion?
