For CyberX users, they have a nice, unadvertised feature. To find out if a stock is shortable, after entering the stock symbol, just move your mouse cursor OVER the "Short" button. A little yellow tag will pop up with the number of shortable shares available or tell you if no shortable shares are available. Response is about 1 second.

Also, if the tag says "No shortable shares", you can send them a message in the communicator window and they will try to find some. About a week ago, I got the "No shortable shares" on a stock (I forgot which) and sent them a request. About 5 minutes later I got a message back saying that they had found 2000 shares! As a new user, this was the first time I tried it. I was surprised at the fast response.

Regards,

Dan.
