Chaz2, You and I have very similar strategies and at least JDSU and SNDK in common. I first got into Uniphase after reading George Gilder in Forbes ASAP, something over a year ago. It had a short dip and I got trigger happy and traded out of it for AOL. This was all prior to reading the Gorilla Game.

I've been back into JDSU for about two weeks. I expect that it will be a long term holding in the fiberoptic basket for me. I agree with your thoughts on no more than 2 or 3 stocks in the basket. My tactic will probably be to follow candidates in my watchlist while investing only in my best guess as to the probable winner. I will switch when a different candidate emerges. I think this will enable me to participate in more market segments while maintaining my core holdings in the 4 identified silverbacks. I use LindyBill's, Russian Army approach to determine my allocations. I don't have Lindy's exquisite timing and like more than one holding. Besides variety makes it more fun for me.

I invested in SNDK at the same time as JDSU. I followed it ever since Ausdauer made his excellent presentation. The story is just too compelling.

Best Regards,
Tom
