Could the thread just vote on the following statements from Paul with ("I Believe" OR " I Do Not Believe" vote)

1. I belive Intel is doing an unscheduled price cut on 8/22 because
"Intel's yields are constantly improving and their cost is declining further due to higher volumes and associated reduction in depreciation/amortization."

If you vote "I believe", it would also be good if you can provide an estimate of how much cost reduction Intel will be doing from Aug 2nd to Aug 22nd - so that less informed of us can have an idea how much the price drop is going to be from the Aug 2nd prices.

2. "the "mean" ASP for Pentium ///s is probably around the $400 mark "

If your vote is "I do not believe", please feel to suggest what you believe the mean ASP of the PIII line is

3. "Looks like Intel may be dropping prices just to keep up with AMD's deep discounts !" The context here is AMD's price drops on K6-2/K6-3 family.

If you vote "I believe" it would be good if you can provide some commentary how the K6 family parts that has not even begun shipping at the 500MHz grade can cause PIII-500/550 prices drop at a rate of almost $10 per day.
