Re: Tesoro (TSO) Your info is right on WJH. Their margins have been outrageous due to the situation in WA. I posted a pre-earnings note here regarding the potential blow-out quarter. I played options very profitably. As you mentioned the situation is continuing and the prospect for blow-out quarter repeating is very likely. Recent weakness a good opportunity. Other segments anticipating improvement, lots of cash rolling in. Down side is that an announcement of a return to normal refining scenario might produce a short-term down side pop in the stock. of course that should be bought. Two other non-traditional plays for OSX inclined crowd. -- KNE basing should lead to next leg up. mucho value with a positive climate now that Kinder will be managing. -- NCE already undervalued selling off further on news of mandated electricity rate decrease in british subsidiary. in merger agreement unloved by institutions hoping for big price buy-out. now an outstanding elec. utility value play. light NG exposure; yield approaching 7%. osx plays near-term IMO: FLC, HLX, KEG, TCMS, HOFF, PGO, VTS, NSS, MAVK and unnamed laggards. looks like we will shortly find the intermediate level of support for the OSX. above are the stocks i am buying on weakness. UTI, PTEN, NBR and ESV i am hoping will correct a little. might be too much to ask. #1 enp buy is TMR; opportunity rarely knocks so often. EEE is either a total farce or a far better value. XTO, CRK, RRC, APC, HSE, now in consolidation patterns. if the hombre "black hat big smile bull" is on the money the next legs for these stocks will be the most powerful. there is where my big bets are. ++good
