I received word today that a long time friend of csy2k, Harlan Smith, passed away this past Tuesday in Palm Beach, Fla

A significant loss. Harlan posted regularly on Compuserve as well as c.s.y2k and was a voice of reason amongst the "noise". Very solid analyses over the long haul. He will be missed.

I chatted with him a couple of times online about a year ago.

A very intelligent man and a great loss.
