Barney, Everyone really likes your barnyard stories. I hope you do surprise us with more of their shenanagans.

I have been following Jesus Words and the Apostles a their belief that the Second Coming would happen in their lifetimes. Practically every New Testament book including our Lord's Sermon on the Mount tells the Apostles to be prepared and tells them that it will happen in their generation.

Most argue that Revelation was written in 96AD, therefore John had to be talking about a future event and Jesus did not return after the destruction of the Jewish polity and wholesale murder of Jews in 70AD.
The Revelation talks about the Temple and Jerusalem so it appears that St. John came out before the end of the Jewish dispensation and destruction of the Temple.

Josephus , a Jewish priest and associate of the Romans tells a story of the bloodiest battles and murder of the Judeans and Israel as never before.

I am drawn to this doctrine of the Apocalypse happening during this time and Jesus Second Coming.

I welcome any information that can be proved either pro or con as to this being a preturist or a futurist event.

May all of God's blessings surround you and your partner for life and may our Savior bring an everlasting peace and patience in your lives.(healing too!)

James
