Whoa! Don't make this my suggestion just because I typed a rhetorical question.

What would you like? A full page ad in the Wall Street Journal depicting secure, reliable performance from 36170 based networks.

I'm sure you know that's not what I intended.
...

So, you may be right - a full-page ad in the WSJ just might hit the spot from time to time.

And RE: Ask the average Joe on any street, outside of Ottawa, what Newbridge does and I doubt you'll find anyone that's even heard of Newbridge let alone know what they do. This however, is not true to the same extreme with Nortel, Cisco or Lucent.

How long have Nortel and Lucent existed in their various incarnations?
What are their Revenues? their earnings? Same for CSCO.

Of course, much larger companies with much larger revenues that have been in business for a much longer time would be better known than a company which produces no products used directly by the consumer.

So, if you're looking for public brand recognition, I suggest you try KO or MCD. NN just isn't going to cut it, no matter how successful the company becomes.
