I know nothing about movies either, but I adore a good movie when I chance upon one. I highly recommend An Ideal Husband. Rupert Everett is to die for. It doesn't matter that he prefers men to women in real life; he's an excellent actor: handsome, intelligent, and sexy. And, oh yes, everything else about the movie was wonderful.

You mean someone besides me knows nothing about movies? ANd now Nuni admits it too!!! Excellent company.
Also, after that heated debate about Eyes Wide Shut, where there seemed to be a big credibility chasm between those who "know" movies and those who don't, I sorta wonder just what that means.

If the only people who were allowed to express themselves with confidence were the ones who considered themselves knowledgeable, it would be a limited and limiting conversation! ANd then those with cinema degrees would poopoo the wannabes, and then the Master's degrees would jeer at the BA's and then the PhD's would sneer at the Master's.
I think we ignorant ones need to present the opinion of Everyman. Maybe give them all something to feel superior about. Besides, we make up the majority of the paying audience.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY! THIS IS DAR AND RAMBI SAYS WE ALL TALK WITH IMPUNITY. SHE WILL UZIFY ANYONE WHO GETS SNOTTY HERE.

Hi E, just wanted a little SI time ~ it's been nine days without posting, which felt weird for a while and then felt normal, and now posting feels weird. Wanted to say that Down By Law feels sooo New Orleans, like the New Orleans that people who live there feel ~ you can get the best fried catfish dinner in the world on Law Street, or, as the residents say, "down by Law."
