thebeach - Re: OT

Given:
1) Distance travelled = 20.51 km.
2) Fuel consumed = 1.0 U.S. gallon.
3) Want to find the distance travelled per Canadian gallon.

Solution:
1) 20.51 km = 12.744 miles; (1.609344 km per mile).
2) Distance travelled per U.S. gallon = 12.744 miles; (12.744 miles / 1 U.S. gallon).
3) One Canadian gallon = 1.20 U.S. gallon; (4.54609 liters / 3.78541 liters).
4) Distance travelled per Canadian gallon = 15.29 miles; (12.744 miles x 1.20).
