In no way do I disagree with your observations. I hear that such procedures as heart transplants are among the major reasons that Canadians head for the U.S.--they would be long dead before their "turn" finally arrived. It was not my intent to defend the Canadian health care system, which smacks so of the Brits' National Health--btw, while you were in New York, did you see the hilarious comedy "On the National Health" imported straight from London? When Clinton was first running for president, some of the livelier arguments I had with my sister were on the health "reforms" espoused by Hillary Rodham--which enchanted my sister. I continually suggested that she examine the Canadian system before casting her lot in with the Clintons.
