Timing internet stocks in general seems hard. Timing Softbank just seems impossible. Talk about chaos theory. But I wonder slightly in a slightly off topic way, whether anyone here is trying to time via technical analysis. My hunch is that by the time there is a positive buy signal the puppy skyrockets before you can get in. Any thoughts? Also as to tax issues, I'll just say that I think trading belongs in IRA and other tax sheltered accounts. Otherwise you just get killed in the taxes. I use indexes for my taxable accounts because of their high tax efficiency. Also, mutual funds are not necessarily tax effective, you really have to examine their tax related issues.
