thank you Taste i agree with you on that atlanta guy,the press killed
that story and now people that dont even know about daytrading are scared of daytraders, its pathetic.
I am familiar with the basics of RSI and the other indicators i guess im just going to have to do some dilly dallying to adjust to shorter time frames. thanks for the stock pattern tip, i think this week will see alot more paper trading to calm my anxiousness down a bit. and hope fully i can get my software and video card in sync.
Thanks again Tastes

Chicken, nice post. Your wrote about the Elder book

On that one page, I saw a chart pattern that it took me two years to figure out on my own. I was actually pissed off when I saw it in his book, because it took me two years to see, and he snagged it from somebody and put it in his book.

Do you happen to remember the Elder page you liked? So far, his book is the only one I have read more than once and I got a lot out of it.

Elder also talks a lot about divergence between price and say RSI, stochastic, etc. My problem is I can't spot them very easily or early enough to help. Have and tips for this?

TIA
Marshall

Noticed that you made reference to a satellite feed in your post re: atlanta freak: ".......If my satellite feed goes down in the middle of the trade, it's my fault, I exit the trade."

DO you use a satellite feed (DirecPC?)for your data? If so..do you find it adequate? Does inclimate weather interfere (such as rain in WA state?) with data? Any comments/suggestions?

Looking at all my extra bandwidth options and it seems ISDN and DirecPC are my only choices. Would appreciate all input on DirecPC that anyone can provide.

Have also noticed that DirecPC has bandwidth usage restrictions....IE: if you download too much data they cut you down to 56k.....as part of their "fair usage" policy (or somethin like dat). Does RT3 or Cyber (in an average config) draw too much data to remain below this threshold?

Any comments would be appreciated.

TIA
