I think I understand Republican politics in New York. I spent 12 years in Connecticut, close enough to NYC to get the radio stations. I listened to Bob Grant and Gene Burns frequently. Grant paints a pretty vivid picture of the local scene. I can still recite his curse on Mario Cuomo verbatim. Didn't he refer to David Dinkins as "that men's room attendant"? He played pretty rough. You produce George Patakis but you also produce Peter Kings, but I guess mainly you produce Patakis.

Clinton may not have blood lust, but he is pretty callous in his disregard for life. The bombing of the ibuprofin factory in the Sudan comes to mind, not to mention our splendid little war in Kosovo.

I wouldn't get into a tit for tat on which state has produced the dirtiest rats. Lessee, Son of Sam, Colin Ferguson, Boss Tweed...
