There are regional difference based upon individual MSO's own business plans - it's seem TCI was the most tardy in getting cable upgrades into the neighbourhoods. In my particular installation only one line in my house is ready for cable internet. Also the installer had all the drivers on a floppy disk but my pc doesn't have a floppy drive. It took him a while to figure out how to load the drivers off the supplied CD. This whole experience prompted one of my first posts on this thread since the implication for subscriber growth rates was frightening - given the share price at the time.
