Sensible thoughts, although I personally would worry more about being out of eBay for a prolonged period, rather than being in it. (I'm out for the moment with Friday's profits).

As to the market cap: I've been thinking of buying the GAP, and notice that their cap is about $35b, three times that of eBay. Yes, I know they have sales and profits to justify it. Now.

Yet, when I walk in their store ... often see all the clerks standing around ... think about how faddish these kinds of clothes are ... then think about eBay, the dream, the promise, the potential ... then I think I want more eBay instead.

Hardly very scientific. Probably I have a lazy mind.

But I'll have trouble pulling the Gap trigger when I could buy eBay instead.
