I agree that wars are fought by the sons of those who didn't have the clout to keep them from being drafted. (Women, don't take offense at me not mentioning daughters, but to date, every woman who has served in combat areas, did so as a volunteer).

But I don't promote making special cases of the sons and daughters of those in power. Just give them the same treatment as everyone else. A lottery number to determine if they will get drafted (Mine was #8 out of 366) and if drafted, assignment to combat units on an equal basis with everyone else. I'd be interested to find out how many governors', senators', and congressmen's children are on the ground in Kosovo right now. Probably not as many as are enjoying summer break from an Ivy League college.

If the people of NY want her & will vote for her, fine, none of my business. I hope she represents them well.

I do greatly resent helping pay for her run at the office.
I find none from NY taxed to help reelect my great (republican) Senator here in Colorado.
