DJ, It is exactly the taking advantage of people when they are vulnerable that upsets me. Plus, a disproportionate number of the buyers of the services are senior citizens burying mates and they tend to be more vulnerable to slick, high pressure sales. Yes, something has to be done with the body. That something does not need to cost $10-30,000. People get guilt feelings about relatives when they die, and the funeral scamsters also play upon that weakness. And then there are the superstitious who believe people have to be buried a certain way or their souls are somehow damaged goods. It is sad.
