You're an engineer. What do you think about E. Davies' comments:

"The essense (sic) of the post is still valid. Without the analog TV coax has more than enough *downstream* bandwidth to handle all the applications people could reasonably imagine. Upstream is another issue... "

You and me both. Fortunately, most diligent threadsters go on to read the corrections and amplifications, but that still doesn't ease the anxiety which comes from knowing that that which resides for posterity has got you by the 'nads.
