<<"Dell will lose market share." >>

Scott: I don't know how rational investors can come to that conclusion <VBG> .....Here are some insights from a Morgan Stanley release last Friday (8/13/99)....

<<PC Software/Hardware: Good Corporate and Consumer Demand for PCs:

*Gillian Munson said she continues to hear that demand for personal computers is good not only in the consumer market but in the corporate market as well.

*All indications are positive for the Sector, she said. Her contacts in the disk-drive business indicated that July performance was solid, and that pricing remained bad but was no worse than was expected, which in effect is good news. Regarding Dell Computer (DELL, Outperform Rating, target $50), which is to report earnings next week, Gillian said all pointers about the results are positive. DELL may be gaining market share, is working on improving its European Group, and could have a strong second half, she said. Gillian's top 3 picks in the sector are DELL, EMC, and ADPT.>>

Hmmmm.....Morgan Stanley is normally quite conservative on DELL and this sounds like quite a BULLISH outlook from them.

I continue to be LONG on DELL for the LONG RUN.

Best Regards,

Scott
