Somehow that cottage story reminded me of a week long hunting trip my father-in-law once took with a couple of his buddies. Right from the first day they complained to the guy doing the cooking that his coffee was terrible. Each day though, they said it was getting a little better. On the seventh day they told him that he finally got it right. When they finally decided to do all of the dishes at the end of the last day, they found the thoroughly stripped bones of a mouse in the bottom of the coffee pot.

<<There were two bears in the garbage. >>

While staying in Canada one time I hauled a couple of bags to the dump. I parked at the entrance and walked in to save my tires from any broken glass. I was watching a bear feeding in the dump when I noticed a sow and a cub enter the picture and figured it was time to leave. When I turned around to go I saw 4 more bears that were closer to my truck than I was. I was really wishing I had married a woman that was smart enough to drive on in and pick me up.

I did my best I'm just out for a stroll act and wondered what it would be like to be eaten. When I finally made it to the truck I found my wife had locked the doors. We had words about that.
