Here's an article about online toy shopping. She appears to like Amazon slightly more than eToys, but overall it's positive:

ETYS has around 500,000 cumulative customer accounts. This number was probably around 300,000 on Dec 31, 1998. For any person to buy something from their website, they have to register.

Assuming that ETYS has reported the correct #, it can mean
either (a) the MediaMetrix statistics are wrong.
or (b) Millions of people went to their website last December but did not bother buying anything.

You can pick your choice of (a) and (b) or offer an alternative

Let us compare notes next February. I am predicting that their # of customer accounts will be under 1.5 million and the revenues for the year 1999 will be around 100 million.

Rajiv
