Dear Joan, I am not holding George W. up as a paragon for you to admire. I simply cannot think of another famous son who is in the limelight recently. (Steve Forbes, but he is, and his father was, a publisher, not a politician, no matter what he thinks.) As for George W., he will rise, or fall, on his own ability, I hope. I would never dream that the children of Bush, or Reagan, deserve to be elected to public office because of their fathers.

Joan, just heard on the news that George W. is proposing that babyboomer parents say to their children, "Learn from the mistakes I may have made or may not have made and don't do drugs."
