Dear Joan, I was thinking a lot about you recently, reading about Chechenya in the paper (hope I spelled it correctly?). Are you going to come out of retirement for the fracas? I recall that you are an expert on the region. As for who will be President, I believe that the Presidency, these days, is much like a corporation. No one expects the CEO to know all the details, one only expects him to be able to pick the people who do. George W. probably is fronted by people who are good at details. It's much more interesting to me what the "corporation" is up to ~ cui bono, you know?
