There is no exact way to find a top or a bottom. There are certain signs you can look for which point to one. A black candle formed after a series of white candles in an up trend will many times mark the beginning if a top. A second black candle day tends to confirm a top.

The direction of the money flow line (changing to down) is another early signal. Williams R and money flow both will normally turn down a day or two before a stock starts it's decline.

Notice how both of those signals stayed the course on the 1st and did not give sell signals until the actual tops were reached in both of your examples.
