I don't even remember what you, in particular, said, X. I just remember feeling that there was a certain... hauteur being dispensed liberally toward those fools who felt very sad. Maybe you weren't among the cool.

[Edit: the media cover what the people... etc. And people feel deeply about the death of one whom they feel they know, and so attend to it in a way compelling to the media. Is my simple point.]
