Steven; Chuckle. Since Mike Buckley read this one very very very well and is "Merlin" for the G&K "faithful", doubt you need to be saved from the their clutches.

But perhaps there are a few who follow the GG in such a way that they can not see what was obvious to Mike and to many, i.e. Geoff Moore is out of his area of "expertise" dealing with the Q. And it is obvious he still is.

His attempt to save face (or another part of his anatomy) with his mumbling about how the Q may not quite be out of the woods because standards bodies may grab "control" of CDMA shows less than perfect understanding of the real world where the Q has a lock on CDMA airface IPR and that the marketplace is where this "game" will be played out.

But when eating crow, sometimes a little "fudge" is needed.

Curious re one point, thought Geoff Moore is a writer for hire with some consulting experience in computer related stuff, not an "academic", and isn't he really now the head (at least the titular head) of the "Chasm Group" and therefore a businessman of sorts?

Perhaps Uncle Frank will clear this up for us - in English I hope. :-)

Chaz a.k.a. Cha2

Steven, I got the impression he was being humorous. I think it was such a momentous decision for him to acknowledge *another* gorilla that he wanted to downplay its significance. I had posted a few days previously how GSTRF was the primary CDMA vessel in satellite plays, and this ought to put GSTRF in a first mover category, if anything can.
