False statement from raging bull...By: Ray-Jay-Johnson Reply To: 1386 by CarlW Monday, 16 Aug 1999 at 7:45 AM EDT Post # of 1387 Carl- The "bashers" in the context that you are asking about is an organized group of people that settles in on a board and proceeds to trash a stock and it's thread. One of the things that they proclaim is that no one should object because "after all, does anyone really believe that a poster could affect the stock price?" The lie inherent in that statement is that if that were true and they believed it themselves, then they would not be posting, because after all, if a poster cannot affect a stock price, why would they even post? They like to "debate" (at other's expense of course) stocks, but only stocks they don't have a long position in. (they never reveal any stocks they own, and the threads they post on, if any) Notice their silence on the PINC thread? It's deafening, isn't it? Normally I don't give a hoot about stocks I don't give a hoot about. (That sentence makes more sense than you think). In this case though, it is important for the reader in the cyber public to see how the hypocrisy of the "bashers" is so clearly established by their absence here, hence my presence to illustrate it. I find it hard to believe that you are glossing over this, and refuse to accept the facts, about them. It has gotten to the point where at this late stage, there is no recovery for them that can be made from their "dishonesty". They should have been "all over" what other people have focused on. They have not. What a disgrace. One poster on SI (tonto) is attempting to lay the whole blame on the newsletter, but newsletters don't operate in a vacuum, they have input from a company. One last thing- When I wrote (above) that they are an organized group, I meant it.
