And a partridge in a pear tree.....Sam if one chooses to only pick out what one desires in the Bible, one can actually build ANY sort of religion for ones self gratification. My thoughts have changed over the years a lot about what I think, but it is because the more I read and learn in the word, the more complete it becomes, not as Roy and Buck used to say "I'm a picking" and "I'm a grinnin"...

Sam, You are right. We do have the Kingdom of God within us. We also have the mind of Christ through faith in Holy Spirit because Jesus said it either directly or through his disciples.

I realize that we are only seeing a very small amount of the past. I understand that men have only been able to keep records and have languages for the last 7 or 8 thousand years and our earth is supposedly over 3 billion years old. Just think about that for a moment.

Its hard to imagine that the first human (Adam) existed 10,000 years ago when we know that surely the dinosaurs and cave men existed long before Moses set the Old Testament down. I trust God to someday straighten that all out for me but in this life I will be happy with whatever God decides to reveal to me. After all, I am far from perfect and I have long ago decided that some of the wisest men don't know what they are talking about or you would not find them in disagreement so much of the time.

It is too important to me to rely on man's thinking alone. It is too easy to take the wrong pathways.

May your search take you on the straight and narrow path. Jesus said that few men find it.

James
