<<Anyway, having these discussions, and even having disagreement about these issues, is good to flesh out ideas and keep people thinking. I appreciate the opportunity to have this dialogue and I do wish you the best.>> Couldn't agree more. When it comes to my $$, I take things very seriously. Many people do not wan't to hear anything negative when it comes to a stock they own. I on the other hand, don't look at things as positive or negative...I look at things at being pertinent. If your spewing crap...either hype or bashing, get lost...but if your discussing pertinent info, whether it is good or bad, I am all for it. Additionally, I am well aware that most probably, the majority of people see this deal as being bad for seek. I am of the minority, that feels it will be a good deal. Much of my thinking is indeed based on valuations and market conditions, as well as market sentiment. In todays high flying internet sector, people are becoming spoiled.... With deals like this, shareholders always expect to receive a large premium. Considering valuations are already sky high, people still expect to receive more then fair value. Nothing wrong with this, it is simply human nature. Now look at the market...I hear what you say about $25 of this drop may have been caused by Disney deal....Maybe, maybe not....Take a look at the internet sector...SEEK actually has held up pretty decently over the last month, when we had the biggest drop. SSure it wen't down...but so did everything else, and seek, in fact, had lower losses in the last 30 days then most of the other internet blue chips. As far as valuing the deal, I think one must look at their own reasoning. Most people say there is no value for the new company because it doesn't exist, yet they want to turn around and place super high premiums on the current company seek. Regardless of the fact it does not currently exist, we know it will. It will have value, we just don't know if it will be .50cents a share or $150 a share. If you feel seek is valued so highly, certainly we must value the new company in a similar method. We must also look at the new company. It will be the sum of the parts...seek is only 1 of the parts being put together. We want to value seek highly, seek is only a portion, so certainly the new company will have a good valuation as well. We are getting how much...1.12 or something like that ? Granted we can't value the new company yet, but certainly we can look at the fact we are getting 1.12 of the new company and all we are throwing in is seek. Do you have any idea what the possibilities will be with Disney ? What would seek be in 5 years by itself ?? What will the new company be...with technolgy leaping as it is, and the industry doing what it is doing, I think this is a wonderful combination and the future will show that we came out great by getting our 1.12. Anyway, this all just my opinion of course...I am not trying to hype anything...just trying to be objective. Have a great day
