*For all Pokemon addicts, here's DVUI news & info. PM'd to me: PHOENIX, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Dimensional Visions Incorporated (OTC Bulletin Board: DVUI - news), a Phoenix based company and a leading provider of HALOGraphix DV3D® Animotion(TM) solutions today announced that it has received an initial 250,000 unit Pokemon® order from Plymouth Inc. of Radford, VA. Plymouth designs and delivers unique children's ''back to school'' products to Wal-Mart, K-Mart and other mass merchandisers. John D. McPhilimy, DVI Chairman & CEO stated, ''Needless to say we are ecstatic about this new order. The introduction of Pokemon® joins our recent CuddlyCutties®, World Wrestling Federation®, and Animorphs® collaborations this year. Together we continue to deliver exciting new images and characters that kids love. I am sure that the new Pokemon® Animotions will be a huge success when they reach the stores in the very near future.'' For further information, contact: John D. McPhilimy or Roy Pringle, both of Dimensional Visions Incorporated, 602-997-1990; or Michael Behringer of Market Pulse Journal, 716-256-6498, Investor Relations for Dimensional Visions Incorporated. This re-order from Plymouth (DVUI has already shipped several different products to the Plymouth Co) puts DVUI smack into the middle of a growing craze which has already taken over Japan. Dimensional Visions is going to use their proprietary technology to produce Animotions of the 4 most popular Pokemon figures...Picachu and Sharmander are inclued. DVUI will design and produce 12 different 'morphs' of these popular Pokemon characters and the resulting Animotions will be slapped onto spiral notebooks to be distributed by the Plymouth Co to major department stores. The order should be shipped in a couple of weeks and should be on the shelves in 3 to 4 weeks. All parties are anxious to get these products to market. The Pokemon Animotions supplied by DVUI can also be applied to many other commercial products and it is hoped that re-orders will occur quickly. This Pokemon order and the potential re-orders (we think the notebooks will prove to be immensly popular...ask any kid btw the ages of 8 and 14 about Pokemon) could have a significant impact on DVUI's revenues and bottom line. The 9 month revenues ending 3-31-99 are ahead of last year but the company shows a $1m dollar loss for that period. With approx 5.1m shares outstanding and about a 2.5m share float the impact of Pokemania on Dimensional Visions could be substantial. The company has also created Animotions for Disney figures (Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbelle, Winne the Pooh) for products sold at Disney World and DVUI is presently creating Animotion wrestling figues for the WWF and the Animorphs. With the addition of the Pokemon figures DVUI is centrally involved in producing products for the most popular choices of kids today in the marketplace. Present management came to DVUI about 18 months ago and almost immediately engineered a 1 for 25 reverse split to get a grip on the share count and position the company for some sorely needed financing. Details can be found in the company's 10-K (yes, they do file with the SEC). The present CEO and Chairman of the company, John D. McPhilimy, knows how to introduce new technology to the market and grow small companies into large companies. Mr.McPhilimy has over 30 years of executive and marketing experience in high-technology industries such as aerospace, air transportation, and electronic telecommunication networks with Bell Helicopter Textron, Aerospatiale, Executive Jet Aviation, Travel Teller International, Marketing Works, and Information Systems Solutions. Over the last 15 years he has been responsible for the successful marketing penetrations of NetJets® and Travel Teller® which created two new industries namely “nationwide fractional ownership of business jets” and “electronic ticket delivery networks”. One of the companies he was intrumental in founding was ultimately sold to Warren Buffet about 3 years ago for a price tag in the $750m area. Last week we did a search of large and small cap companies that have a direct connection to the Pokemon phenomena. One shining example of what the Pokemon connection can do for a company's stock price can be found at 4Kids Entertainment (KIDE Nasdaq 50 1/4). KIDE's stock was under $10 in March and now it is over $60. Disney and Hasbro are about the only other large caps we can find directly associated with Pokemon. In the small cap area we can find only 3 companies: SYCD, (sales of Pokemon videos), PSDE (music) and now DVUI. That is it. And there is no sideways or indirect or back door correlation with DVUI and Pokemon. They are producing, through their own technology, Animotions of the 4 most ppopular Pokemon figures. We think this is the real deal. And we think that over time, as investors become aware of DVUI's Pokemon connection, the stock price will reflect the greatest of all the economic realities...the law of supply and demand. Demand for Pokemon products is going up rapidly , demand for shares of those companies supplying Pokemon products is rising, and the supply of shares of public companies meeting that demand remains static. That equation leads to higher stock prices of those few Pokemon related companies that are public. Maybe much higher.
