If they were upgrading estimates, or putting a super duper strong buy on Qcom we would be saying what wonderfull, nice, smart guys they are. In fact all of this research by big investement firms is worthless. The Media should do a report about the conflict of interest sell side analysts have. i would prefer that over lava lamp discusions. I have watched time and again as big companies upgrade stocks, then are distributing them to the market. I thought it was illeagel, but somehow it happens every day. I usially use upgrades of stocks by Merril Lynch as an indicator to sell the stock because it has hit top.
