Dave, I have occasionally been known to short stocks, but whether long or short, I have no qualms about indicating my position, nor with sharing my opinions. What is to be gained by keeping them a secret? If you want to accuse me of something, you might click on my name and read a few of my posts to see what kind of posts I submit before blindly accusing me of something.

The fact is that I heard about this company from a caller on the Bob Brinker radio show last weekend, and thought it sounded interesting, so I checked it out. I found very little posting activity, but a few posts from known short sellers, so I wandered off to do a little research. I got as far as finding the largest short position I've ever seen, which was enough to cause me to go away. As I just posted on the BRYO thread, in a bull market there are a lot of dumb bulls who make money, but bears better be good or they are gone. Thus when I find a stock that looks attractive, but is heavily shorted I tend to go the other way. FWIW the other stock I was looking at that was heavily shorted was HUMC, and since I know a lot more about software that I do about medical fields, I am more likely to trade it than this one.

If I had any informed opinion about the company, I'd be happy to post it, but I don't. If I knew something good or bad about the company I'd be happy to post it, but I don't. There is nothing controversial about my post, and I doubt that the large short position came as any great shock to anyone here. Because of the size of the short position, I don't have any interest in trading it at all. It came across my screen, and it left my screen.

Should anyone sell because of anything I say? Hardly. No one should ever trade because of anything anyone says on a stock thread, and certainly not because of anything I said. And since I didn't say much at all about this one, I can't imagine that I affected the trading of a single share, nor was it my intention.

Good luck to you, and please try to mellow out a little bit. If you treat all people who pass by your thread this way I can see why you have so few visitors,

Carl
