shareholders who bid Iridium stock right up to $72 last year.

This is why I don't buy globalstar, Gemstar, and other "shiny pebbles" that have not made a buck yet. There is no need to take this kind of risk to make money in the market.

By jove, Maurice, I think that we're in substantial agreement. I would only add that it will be fascinating to see the vulture capitalists tear into the scarce carrion along with the banks, I* partners and woebegone shareholders. I take issue with you only on the sad state of the plaintiffs' bar in the US, which occasionally does right wrongs, but more often than not waits to catch unsuspecting issuers in a "gotcha" when their lawyers and bankers can't dream up all of the possible permutations of something screwing up, or, are just plain crooks.

Given the I* was being given away at $72/share, and given the scope of this colossal, failed I* enterprise, the magnitude of the folly, and the hubris of its progenitors, enough foolish statements were probably made in I*'s public filings to give the share(the-loss) holders a place at the pond for the scraps of flesh that elude the secured lenders.

Regards. Steven
